Tanī brīdī man pietika ar to, kad esošo Ram 4GB (2x2GB) es aizstāju ar 16GB (2x4GB) un cieto disku HDD 320 aizstāju ar SSD 256GB. Pirku lētāko komplektāciju, lai varētu vēlāk pats to apgreidot, jo rams man izmaksāja $27 + Tax (13%) un cietais disks, $180.
Tad nu šodien, secināju, kad datora disks ir pilns un atlikuši vien labi ja pieci procenti brīvās vietas. Diemžēl pāriet no SSD un HDD sistēmu atpakaļ es nu galīgi negribēju, salīdzinot ar ātrumu un veiktspēju kādu man tas deva. Tad nu nāca pār mani apgaismība, ko darīt lietas labā. Mans jaunais pirkums ACER iconia tab a501 nosvinot pirmās 100 dienas Kanādā.
Tā nu sanāca, kad vienā lietainā dienā nolēmu aizstaigāt līdz Smart Center iekš Cambridge, Ontario. Nu labi, izmantoju 63 autobusu līdz Ainsle street autoostai un tad no turienes 51/200 līdz pat pašiem tirdzniecības centriem. Izstaigājot tuvējos veikalus - Sample, Future Shop, Best Buy, paliku pēdējā no minētajiem dēļ cenas. Tad nu vēl trakāk bija, kad tas bija palicis stendā pēdējais modelis un pārdevējs ar grūtībām bija pielaužams man to pārdot, jo redz neesot vairāk. Lai vai kā par 16GB modeli 349,99+tax (ontario tas ir +13%) esmu iegādājies beidzot to.

Atverot to, paveras skats uz pašu planšeti jeb tablet PC kā tagad moderni pierasts iepīt runājot tekstā angliskos vārdus
Specifikācija, diezgan trūcīga. Lādētājs, usb kabelis (foto nav redzams) mico SDHC 32GB atmiņas karte. Uz reiz klāt arī tiku pie vietējās 4G sim kartes. Atdzīšos, strādā vienkārši lieliski, ar ātrumu 15-20mb/s kas nav nemaz slikts rādītājs priekš mobilā interneta. Vienīgais diezgan ierobežota lietošana.
Nedaudz ieslēdzot un pabakstot, tas ir uzliekot iestādījumus pēc savas patikas redzams mans darba virsmas izskats.
Kaut kā tā lūk ir labi, galvenās ikdienas aplikācijas uzliku uz darba virsmas.
Ekrāna apskata leņķis ļoti labs, arī spilgtā saules gaismā var ko saredzēt, bet prasītos tomēr nedaudz spožāku apgaismojumu.
Aizmugurē izvietota 5mpix kamera, kvalitāte drausmīgi slikta, ja salīdzina ar analogiem, pat Dell Streak mini 5 bija labāka un HTC HD2 kas man bija. Šajā kategorija uzvarētājs paliek vecais iPhone 4 ko vēlāk nomainīju uz iPhone 4s, bet piekto tomēr neesmu nolēmis iegādāties.
Korpus alumīnija, ļoti kvalitatīvi nostrādāts, tikai stereo skaļruņi gan varēja būt izvietoti priekšpusē nevis aizmugurē, jo ir diezgan klusi jau tā.
Augšpusē ir izvietota ekrāna rotācijas bloķēšanas poga, skaļuma regulācija kura varēja strādāt reversā jo man tā būtu ērtāk un foto redzamā vieta ar diviem slotiem priekš atmiņas kartes un standarta sim kartes.
Pati planšete nāca ar novecojošu Android honeycomb 3.2 ko apgreidoju uz ICS 4.0.3 kas padarīja to daudz patīkamāk lietojamu un pat teikt ātrāku un mazāk tā teikt, gļukojošu kā jau visi Android to dara, šī versija ir stabila lietošanai.
